My journey as a teacher began as a child, I would often sit with my toys and my parents as well and teach them at home. I did all my schooling in India, right from Kindergarten to my MBA. As time went by, I realized a teacher’s job is perhaps the most difficult one! It involves a passion to teach, the love of knowledge and above all a very positive attitude. That is what I found in APA when my son was enrolled as a student and that is what motivated me to be a part of the team. I started at APA with taking over, mid-year, for a homeroom teacher who went on leave. I taught Saxon 8/7 and LBDI, where I realized the true value of a teacher when I read this quote, ‘when one teaches, two learn’- Robert Heinlien. The next year I was a Fourth Grade instructor teaching Saxon 6/5 and Reading Mastery 5. As I step into a new role of an Off Campus Instructor for the Sixth Grade, I am looking forward to helping my students navigate this academic year and be successful, even in this challenging time. Chin up! Mask on! We got this! We are APA!
