Phil Collins
Chief Financial Officer
Making wise financial decisions is essential for every school, including charter schools. Charter school programs, while not funded in the same ways as traditional charter schools, have other avenues open to them to find and receive funding. Charter schools can be well-positioned to make sensible purchasing decisions when it comes to procurement and construction projects.
Often, charter programs will provide an excellent education at fractions of the costs of traditional schools. This enables them to put more dollars back into each classroom through the purchasing of supplies or the hiring of more outstanding teachers.
Our goal is to do what is BEST for kids in our activities and our financial decisions.
Phil Collins, CFO, exemplifies our goal of “Doing what’s best for kids” every day. He and his team have kept American Prep on track financially through proper budgeting while providing world-class education, and competitive wages for our fantastic teaching staff. In 2015, Phil was recognized for his efforts by the Utah Association of Public Charter Schools (UAPCS) with the Business Manager of the Year award.
Congratulations Phil!
